To anyone who's installed Speigler lines:
Does anyone remember what the torque requirement is for the double banjo bolt to the front master cylinder (I'm replacing the stock lines with dual braided s/s)? Is it the same as the standard BMW item (18nm)? Thanks.

I don't remember pulling out the torque wrench for that job. They do not take much, so I simply tightened them until they felt right.

Speigler indicates no more than 18-20 nm. Said so right on the back of the package. If I had bothered to read the damn thing, I wouldn't have wasted valuable space and other peoples' time...
![]() I get a little paranoid about the brakes; anything that can save my butt from a bout of stupidity (mine or a cage drivers) better be put together and working right ![]()

How did the install go? Would you recommend Spiegler lines?

I installed Speiglers on my BCR. Dual front lines with straight male connector (not banjo) into the calipers and banjo on the master cylinder. Easy.

Went well. Have not had a chance to ride with them, but squeezing the brake lever feels about the same as squeezing a brick...
