Thumbs up New to the group, new to Beemers

Well if this does not work out, blame JAS and CarlosT,
Just upgraded to a 03-K1200Rs and oh dont forget the little red R-1100-Ssss-
I have very high expectations of both machines.
Is it perverse to think i might be falling in love with these two machines?

Hey SacBORG Buds: JAS, CarlosT, Joe, Acid...TimmyBoy arrived.

I've recently returned to the BMW world, with a new DDR R1100S from Bob's...I lost a '92K75S back a few years ago...

Indeed, I'm another disaffected Buell owner.

At any rate, I just wanted to hook up with my BORG friends...I'm The Artist, formerly known as V2Rumble.

Acidburn are you having two midlife crises at once or are you merely the sanest man alive!?

Having a K and and S in the garage is excellent... so which do you ride more?

Carlos you are always the optimist.

AB and V2R welcome aboard. Things aren't quite as lively around here as at SacBORG but there is lots of good S info here.

BTW, you both should start threads asking what tires and what oil to run. I don't think we've finalized either of those issues yet.

Yes. Important topics we have not discussed:
1. ABS or Non ABS Equiped Bike?
2. What tires are best?
3. Replace exhaust or leave stock?
4. Heated grips or not?
5. Oils, synthetic, brand, and motorcycle specific?
6. Optimal tire pressure?
7. Chip or no chip?

You have to get one of these installed on yours S. For long trips, heated handgrips are good, but one of these are much better.

Hey shouldn't that be banned here? I thought the moderators here wouldn't put up with this kinda perverse, almost Buell-like post.

Those look like heated grips to me.

For wind deflection nothing works better than those curves.
