How did you get the GS out onto that dirt road and still have it look fresh from the detailer? Helicopter?
If I may go a bit Rodney King on y'all's asses for a moment, can't we all get along? We come from a really wide range of backgrounds and viewpoints that despite their variety pointed each of us towards a cultish devotion to a special machine. There are plenty of other places to launch political whacks at each other. Take it outside, fellas.

Who do I think Trump is getting advice from? other ignorant poorly educated rich people. Although I am not American I am very well aware that Mr. Trump literally destroyed the EPA, removed first alert CDC team from China that could have spotted covid19 in time. I can go one for days with all the bad decisions Trump has taken.

In the end, go out, forget social distancing but don´t complain when you suffocate on the hospital bed.

I know this is a waste of time but I just got home from work and after a scotch or two kinda feel like responding…

Let’s dissect it:

“Rich and poor people in all countries. Serious poverty rate but I´m doing quite fine thank you.”

Shouldn’t need explaining but the point was that an economy rendering a 4.2% poverty rate as well as record low unemployment is something to fight for and provide leadership in maintaining. Contrary to your advice Trump should be listened to as he attempts to do just that. Also, stating how well you’re doing financially only shows what you’re really all about…

“Your comment has nothing to do with Covid19.”

True… my response centered around your injecting Trump into your commentary in a negative way and my defense of him.

“Trying to undermine my advice on staying home and safe for the sake of your family and yours is a sign of a petty mind.”

Your reading comprehension is lacking. I stated that eventually reasonable/sensible and proven measures need to be used to emerge from this situation. I didn’t “undermine” anything.

“Who do I think Trump is getting advice from? other ignorant poorly educated rich people”

Oh boy, this is getting tedious. These are five members (there are more) of the President’s team as mentioned in the NY Times:

- Dr. Deborah Birx: Majored in chemistry at Houghton College and received her medical degree from Penn State University’s Hershey School of Medicine.
- Alex Azar: graduated from Yale Law School
- Dr. Anthony Fauci: attended Holy Cross College and graduated from Cornell University Medical College
- Kenneth Cuccinelli: Graduated from the University of Virginia with an engineering degree and from George Mason University with a law degree
- Dr. Jerome Adams: Earned his bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; a master of public health degree from the University of California, Berkeley; and a medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine.

Ignorant? Doubt it.
Poorly educated? Obviously not.
Rich? Maybe.. smart people usually do pretty well.

“Mr. Trump literally destroyed the EPA, removed first alert CDC team from China that could have spotted covid19 in time.”

He is rolling back and dismantling the overreach and excessive EPA regulations of the past and rightly so… especially of the most recent past which have strangled advancement. The EPA is far from destroyed and has nothing to do with the subject.

Regarding the CDC story, Reuters on March 22 reported that Dr Linda Quick, a trainer and hardly a “team”, quit on her own months in advance of a planned reorganization and well in advance of the outbreak. With only the media to rely on who knows what the true story is. This snow balled into a massive disinformation campaign by the liberal media to discredit the Administration… typical (worked on you). There is no way anyone could say the result would have been any different if she stayed. Chinese withholding of information was the true factor.

“I can go one for days with all the bad decisions Trump has taken.”

Please don’t… you’ll just embarrass yourself even more. If you want to inject politics into a discussion know there will be opposing viewpoints. Come prepared.

Oh, and Biker…whatever. Using statistical facts to support a position can hardly be construed as ignorance. To suggest that makes you, and what you say, well… irrelevant.

Have fun hiding under your beds… the rest of us will keep things going using reasonable/sensible and proven measures.

A friend chastised me for being so hard on #45. He said I should at least give him credit for the many firsts that he's accomplished. So in order to rectify my error of omission, here is a partial list of some of those firsts

First tiny handed candidate to brag about the size of his p***s during a debate.
First to bring up a woman's menstrual cycle during a debate.
First to call a rivals wife a dog.
First to mouthe an "F" Bomb in a televised campaign speech
First to use the word "bull***" right after a prayer breakfast
First to trash a Vietnam Veteran for being captured & tortured in Vietnam
First to spit in the face of a Gold Star Family.
First to steal from a charity that benefitted veterans and children with cancer
First president to be endorsed by the KKK (George Wallace was a candidate)
First to make McDonalds change the over 1 billion served sign
First to say Putin was right and our FBI & CIA were wrong.
First to feel so strongly about the sanctity of marriage that he was sanctified 3 times.
First to play golf more often than all other presidents combined
First to be sued and spanked by a porn star.
First to star in a Russian Golden Shower flick.
First to confuse Kansas with Missouri.
First to mock a disabled reporter.
First to describe a brain injury as a headache.
First to refer to Nazis as "good people on both sides"

Since I am obeying our local lockdown, I guess I have plenty of time to respond. Let me start by your last statement that seems to engulf the way you think about covid19 and Trump.

While the rest of the World is hiding under our beds your idea of (actually Trump´s) reasonable/sensible/ and proven measures have moved the United States form a couple of hundred cases to...drum roll.....501272 making the US the country with most confirmed cases in the world! While that is happening, every day Mr. Trump comes out to give his daily report of covid19 not before bashing journalist, giving out condescending explanations like "what is Easter Holiday", telling how smart and great he is and making fun (much like you try to of me) of Governor Cuomo of New York that is battling desperately to reduce deaths in NYC.

"Regarding the CDC story, Reuters on March 22 reported that Dr. Linda Quick, a trainer and hardly a “team”, quit"

Actually, it was a team of 11 scientist and 39 local workers so NO it was not a single person in charge of CDC China watchdog office. (March 20,2020, The Guardian)

"Please don’t… you’ll just embarrass yourself even more."

On the contrary, I actually feel you’re embarrassing yourself by denying what is so blatantly obvious. You need to obey your local lockdown orders no matter what Trump wants or tells you. Remember he committed to have the economy up and running by Easter Sunday! How negligent is that?

The President's Team has a nice list of top people. What's it worth to have Einstein or Edward Jenner on your team if you don't listen to them.

What's more, during the last two weeks Trump has repeatedly misinformed the American people about drugs and current medications that "can cure covid19" to a point that the FDA has requested those parts of his "speech" not be aired because they can cause great harm to general population.

What else can I say? You seem to be a Trump fanatic and whatever he states probably sounds true and smart to you. That’s ok with me.

No.

Minimizing or generalizing somebody with a broad brush, based on nothing but a simple statistic, is.

Yes USA is #1, but.....

That is not the total story.

The US spent too much time denying this was going to impact us. This cost
precious time and probably costed / will cost many lives. I believe it was said
"... and then one day, like a miracle it will be gone [SIC]"... Which is utterly
ridiculous and just unmasks hubris and incompetence.

On the other hand, Trump did in fact ban non essential travel from China earlier
than anyone and was unjustly called out for it as being xenophobic or racist. Even
the W.H.O. ridiculed it.

I'd been watching this thing unfold from very early on, when there were still non-
official reports coming from China in December and as time went on on, everyday I
shook my head in disbelief as the WHO placated the CCP and dragged their feet
on any action or meaningful statements. More hubris and incompetence.

As far as the numbers go, the US does have the most cases, but what is not being
reported is per capita numbers and that the US is in fact doing better than many
European countries when we actually drill down into these numbers (which can be
found here:

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/).

I used the list below listed sorted by countries with the most infections. I
excluded China, Iran & Turkey due to possible unreliable data (more on that
later).

Please note population

Please note population

You can download the table I made below and play with the data yourself. It is just a snapshot from the World O Meters link above. You will need to download
the file as it cannot be sorted on the webpage (download button upper right).

https://www.dropbox.com/s/pv301uhyo731t9t/Book1.xlsx?dl=0

The graph below points to why world leaders are suspicious of Iran's and China's
numbers. Albeit, China does have the capacity to enforce a severe lock down,
the numbers still look suspect.

Keeping out of mischief. Front lawn ripped out, with grandsons help and replaced with pebbles. Native plants to be added when nurseries reopen

Sheesh, not another motorcycle forum thread waxing on about the politics...

I took yesterday off and enjoyed the canyons. Little to no traffic, mindful of speed limit and presence of LEO (of which there was hardly any). Didn't ride the Beemer...I know, I know...

Our speeding fines are much more severe and for some insane reason many feel that open roads and zero traffic means no speed limit. Typical dash above the limit will run you about $475 in Southern Cal. Get pulled over for excessive speeding by a cop in a bad mood and you’ll need to add cost of Impound, storage plus whatever other admin and legal fees. Don’t forget the cost of Uber to get you back home ;-)

My last one (72 in a 55) was about the same, no discount available. BUT... I was on my new to me S4R that I had not registered or insured yet and he just said "take care of that". I gladly paid the fine.

You know the cure to that right? Take off your tag & go faster. Works for the squids here. Cops won't even chase bikes because they know they'll run & can't catch them.
