new info on the cat code coloring?
http://www.rhinewestperformance.com/codingplug.htm
see this link to see the cat code world according to rhinewest. they suggest that their chip uses the cat code in order to achieve its map...now i am really confused how this has anything to do with anything...unless they have one chip and they have all the maps on it and the code installed dictates whih map is used...if that is the case then maybe that is why it costs more. any takers? or that removing of the cat code is required for the S...i see different information everywhere i look on their page. repoe3 Last edited by repoe3; 04-10-2003 at 02:48 PM.. |

You would think that if they are mass producing a single chip for the entire bike line (is this possible?) and using the cat code plug to detirmine the mapping in the chip that it would cost less, beacuse they are producing only one chip like "one size fits all". Theyre not having to program individual chips for individual bike models so in theory you would think it would bring the cost less by not having the hardware and man-hours expense to produce the individual chips.!?
Just sounds fishy to me for some reason. John
