New r1250rs

A friend is getting a new R1250RS. No yet delivered but we are planning a trip.
I wonder if anybody here as one and has compared to the 1200. I hope new engine
won´t smoke me too bad. I have iridium plugs, full Akra exhaust, K&N Filter etc.
Still, new engine pulls 136HP.

I'm sorry but you (we) are now riding "vintage" machinery.

Enjoy the vintage ride for what it is. Still plenty fast, but is not a new bike.

The great thing about your and my vintage rides is that they have a cool/wow factor these days.

Indeed it is still fast. Faster than all the new GS bikes around. Plus with Ohlins on it
its so plush to ride.

I have one of the new 1250RS' and unfortunately your friend will indeed have a lot of power on you (mostly torque really). But the 1100s is more nimble and handles just as well.

Oh, 1100 is no contest. But the 1200 I think can compete

Sorry, I forgot you have a 1200, yeah I imagine that would be pretty close.
