International Rescue - Sherlock Holmes - Thunderbirds, etc (need some help)

Hello..., and yes, I'm still here !! SmileWavySmileWavySmileWavy

Still have my R1200S, and yes..., I still don't use it...

...it's almost starting to look like the bike is 'in storage'...

But that's not the point today.
Today 'the point' is a 2018 BMW R1200 NineT.

Through my own 'little shop' I took over this motorcycle from a fellow motorcycle company (who imported this bike...)

The motorcycle has a Dutch registration for a few months, but..., the motorcycle originally comes from Canada.
So far, so good !

The bike was advertised here as a NineT Pure (model K22), but the front fork already indicated that it has a front fork from a NineT (model K21).

A little further in my search I came across the message that it is a motorcycle that has been registered in Canada as 'IRRECUPERABLE'...

And now I'm looking for pictures of that bike, as it was offered in Canada.

So..., if there is anyone who can help me with this?

My search on the Internet is in any case pretty dead...

The fact is that this NineT has been messed up a lot..., because..., the seller indicates that the first registration was on January 1, 2018..., but that is not possible at all, because the production date of this bike was January 19, 2018...

And that's why I thought 'let me try the International Network'!

In short : this bike started life as a black K21 NineT, and NOT as a 'silver-ish' K22 Pure...

VIN = WB 10J0 104JZ 718155

...someone out there, must know something... ;-)

must have been wrecked and rebuilt as a pure. i wouldn't touch a motorcycle with a salvage title. just my personal opinion. there will always be another one for sale that's not possibly junk

I know, I know, that's why I start a case against these clowns.

But..., I want to dig deeper in this matter.
As in : searching for pictures, some documents, etc.etc.

I already had contact with Copart (Canada), but they never had this 9T in their inventory.

And I tried to get in touch with Salvagedb.com, but..., they never replied...:(

BTW, they didn't rebuilt it as a Pure, but they did give it that 'name'.
So..., in our Dutch title-register it's now listed as a NineT Pure...:o

Yeah the Salvaged Title needs to be investigated in detail before considering a purchase. There is always seems to be good stories about them, true or fiction is what you need to know.

Investigating such is not very easy overhere..., because this NineT has been given a Dutch registration in a rather vague way, so the (Canadian) history is very difficult to find..., especially because Quebec and the Netherlands are quite far apart... ;)

But..., after 'a bit' of firm pressure from our side, the selling party has decided to repay this 9T.

...all's well that ends well... ;)

Glad it ended well for you but I have feeling this bike will end up going to one of the Baltic countries or somewhere further east…

We need more images of it next to the R1200S. :)
So good to see you are still around Ron. I was wondering what happened to you.

Everything is more than okay on this side!

But..., to be honest, I barely touched the bikes in 2020 and in 2021... (zero times the R12S, and 4 times the RT in 2021)

Somehow it just didn't fit quite right. Me and my 'litte shop', and my wife and her work (both also on weekends, and she also in the evenings).

However, this year we somehow managed to make a weeks trip through Austria, Italy and Slovenia (using the RT of course).

And especially Slovenia turned out to be an eye opener !!

But to indicate how we are, timewise...; we did this trip in July of this year..., and I'm still not done processing the photos from that tour...

...try to pronounce this...:D We, entering Slovenia (Juli 24)...

Glad to hear you are making time to enjoy each other and seeing the sights!

Hello Ron-

Glad you are doing well and got this issue resolved.

I also really enjoyed Slovenia while visiting my daughter who was living there during her research grant.

Somehow we always had the idea Slovenia would have a kind of Eastern European (as in: like the former GDR) appearance, with poor infrastructure, faded glory, cities affected by polluting industry, etc.

But how wrong we were...

For example, for the few who like to Google, do a quick Lake Bled search !

I know I am getting off track but I loved my time in Slovenia. If you are ever go again check out Vintgar Gorge just north go Bled.

We did find those lovely Soviet era features you are talking about in Zagreb. ;)
