Easy way to drain fuel tank R1200S

Hi,

I made the mistake of not riding my R1200s last riding season (tragic, I know) and want to drain the fuel.

Is there an easy way to do this?

My suggestion is to simply siphon off as much as possible then top off with fresh fuel. Your 12S is fitted with the BMSK management system which, not only reads 02 per cylinder - but also cylinder knock which adjusts for poor, or low octane fuel as part of its operational scope. Just keep an ear out for any ping and adjust the throttle accordingly until you've cycled through the stagnant fuel. Then refill - and I would add a dose of techron or, even better - Wurth or Liqui-Moly 'Jectron'.

This advice worked great. Siphoned on old fuel, topped with new fuel and bike is running great.

Thanks for the help.
