SOLD my S.

After 24 years and 108,000 miles the S is gone, long live the S. It was or has been time to sell for awhile. I have only ridden it 5,000 miles in the last 12 years. I still think it is a beautiful looking bike and I almost cried as it drove away with the new owner. Many wonderful memories and friends associated from my travel on it.

Yes, those were the photos used in the for sale ad.

Fourteen people contacted me in three days. Four people made appointments to come see the bike then canceled and one didn't show because he overslept by 3.5 hrs. The fifth person drove 4.5 hours to view it. I knew as soon as someone was here and saw the good condition it was in, they would buy. Sure enough, he walked in, did a quick look over, handed me the money, started filling out the paperwork and didn't start it up until he was ready to leave.

You offered it for a song for its condition, even with that mileage.
Glad the buyer is happy with it, and too bad about all the flakes you had to endure.
Have fun on your A. Twin. Don't be a stranger.

I've sold two of our S's this summer. Still hanging onto the 05 BCR but haven't ridden it much lately.

Actually I was selling a few bikes to buy another Track Bike that my dealer/friend made me a great deal on. And then one thing leads to another and bought a new trailer for going to the Track. So now I have two Track only bike, I've been doing about 24 Track Days a year.

I still have my original '99 S from when I joined way back when. Haven't put as many miles on it as it deserves as I got a GS that's been racking up the most mileage. Both in black, the fastest color.

Rick, that bike is in crazy good shape for 108K. (other forum members—I saw this bike in person last month).

I hope the new guy loves it half as much as you did! He’s in for a treat.

These bikes are old, but they are still both sexy and reliable.
