Boxer Cup Replika detailing tips
Having had numerous years experience detailing my cars,I am looking for helpful tips on detailing my 2004 Boxer Cup Replika
Can any one help me with the following, even to point me to specific part in this forum? 1) Is the paint "single stage"? 2 ) Is there clearcoat on the metal bits such as suspension and drive train? 3) Any specialized procedures with the carbon fiber pieces? 4 ) Can an iron/contaminate cleaner be used safely in the rims? 5) Special cleaners/technique for the windscreen, headlight cover, signal lites? ...etc. Any and all tips would be appreciated... Thanks! ![]() |

Paint on fairings is two stage (base coat + clear).
I use this to clean all surfaces, including those of final drive, carbon fiber components, etc.: https://www.partzilla.com/catalog-product/collection/honda/276C8871B12AF120890CC9044CE4F02D6E12A80A?titan_sku =08732-SCP00&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17883222439&gbraid=0AAAAADro4HtyS2EwTafTcjGCaK634Lyzl&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-ZHEBhCxARIsAGGN96Ic8gVLc65CaUQZzqeWCr20QqmghEUqBCv wIHsJhXy1B-cLT-B2Ri0aApWIEALw_wcB As for a wet wash I use a jet washer but only on lower end of the bike avoiding electrical contacts. Prior to wash I apply this grease remover: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/smm-38373?seid=srese1&ppckw=pmax-paints-and-finishing&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-ZHEBhCxARIsAGGN96I7zy804e2b7xDDaX-96ozMhJENHLyeQj0pdzGq-WlIHGGuf-4v9vgaAqTCEALw_wcB ![]() |
