Hey Ladies...
YAHBO is shopping around for a jacket and other things for his new lady and would appreciate any links/suggestions on sources that you have had success with. Any particular jackets that are the one to get? |

Mrs. JAS really likes the line of Alpinestars ladies jackets. They are very well made and fit her perfectly.

Also www.ladyriderswear.com has some boots and stuff like that. Some BMW Apparel comes in women's sizes also, which you can find on the BMW website. I have Vanson leathers in women's sizes and for cooler weather I have First Gear Kilamanjaro women's jacket and BMW pants. Daytona boots also come in women's sizes, which is what I currently have - before that I had IXS which I purchased from the aforementioned Lady Riders Wear. You just missed Vanson's big Open House weekend, I think it was the 26th - 28th. Supposedly there were some deals to be had there. Good luck!

Vanson aint what it used to be.
over the past year i have been highly disapointed with the poor service , constant delays, change of personel, needed several items rebuilt, race suit jacket, pants, gloves, thier bad, the measurements were perfect and al correct in all cases. they just screw up. several folks at vanson admitted, the low end labor they must employthese days to be competitive really does not care. I use the vanso gear, if they get it right it is still one of the better out fits around, however i will go local next time, expect problems if you are going custom, they are really an off the shelf operation these days.

I'm still voting for the Vanson goods, but BMW does make some nice gear in women's sizes as well. Both choices are on the high end of the price scale, however.

Broken english hilarious after tequila. Doogie's wife wear BMW airflow. Doogie's wife look bizare in BMW garb on her Buell. Doogie think she better protected than leather though. Doogie should rethink. Wife should wear leather chaps. Fun. ;o) |

Joe Rocket has women's gear. I have had good luck with their jackets, boots and gloves - good quality and they stand behind their dealers very well.

the things we do for a$$, i mean women and relationships. just picked up a fieldsheer jacket for a lady friend, it is their hot weather equivalent, with a liner for cooler weather and has plenty of armor, even more than my first gear hot weather jacket. picked up a pair of joe rocket gloves that work nicely. not a huge fan of joe rocket either, but these gloves will get little use and look trick for her...it was the one thing she really liked. we may be going to revisit the jacket thing as i am buying for a generic rider, not necessarily her
might get a 3/4 length rather than waist length. repoe3
