Laser exhaust installation.
Hi
hopefully my new system will arrive tomorrow with the chip. Can I run the exhaust on it own if the chip doesn`t come, or is this unwise. The bike is a Twinspark BCR. Cheers Paul |

sure. in fact you may appreciate each improvement by their own merits rather than the composite effect.

B-Bro,
if you bought the racing exhaust the bike will run too lean, not a good thing. Jeff

he wasnt talking about running it too long in that configuration. a few days or whatever would not be that big a deal. doubt he would hole a piston in that time. but if you are the overly caustious type, then wait till you have them both. it will take longer to put the exhaust on than it will to swap the chips. of course after doing a couple, got it down to a science so to not have to fully remove the gas tank. prop it or have a buddy hold it, disconnect the ECU and there you go. the slow part is breaking the silicone bead on the inside of the ECU.

Hi again, well it all arrived friday and by saturday afternoon I was one very happy chap. I must say that it is the best investment on my bike at anytime. It has transformed it and it now sounds like it allways should of. If your thinking of getting one, then get one, you wont regret it. Thanks to all the chaps for their usefull info on this site, made the installation a fairly painless operation. cheers Paul p.s The only disappointment was the finish. I spent a couple of hours polishing. For the money, you would of thought they (Lazer) would of at least polished it! Last edited by BoxerBro; 10-20-2003 at 09:28 AM.. |
