Got a Centerstand?

If you have a centerstand on your S, go check the screws that bolt the stand itself to the bushings that turn in the frame. You will need a 6mm allen wrench and a 21mm open end (a 7/8 will work too) to tighten the screw.

I discovered 80 miles from home yesterday that the right one on my bike had broken off inside the bushing. Fortunately, the spring is also on the right side and it held the stand up almost to the stop, making for an un-eventfull trip home.

When I got home, I removed the broken piece of screw, and discovered that it had no thread locker material on it at all. The one on the left side had plenty.

This is NFG, pretty much.

Ride well. Ride safe. WEAR YOUR GEAR!
