Please re-read my last post.
My statement about AFR was for TUNING. The wide band sensor was designed to provide more precise emissions control which needs the greater range of AFR, and a linear response curve, than for tuning. Also, the Bosch wide band sensor is very sensitive and requires that the temperature be closely regulated for proper results. This device is much more demanding in its operation than the old standard O2 sensors. If you read the data sheet, Bosch requires that the sensor be mounted in the exhaust a certain way, also.

Yes TUNING, And wideband remains good (and industry standard) for that. Emissions control is handled (in basically all production cars) by narrow band sensors. Don't believe me. Just look at the fact that all tuning aides use wideband, and all cars use narrow band. How can you argue with that? Jeez. Let's debate whether the sky is pink or blue.
Yes, it's more demanding. Better instruments tend to be. Welcome to science 101. I've read the specs, I bet others here have too, and shockingly, so have the accomplished _practicing_ engineers who designed the LM1 blah blah blah prattle prattle prattle argue argue argue

On my way to the UPS Store now guys.
They've shorted me one cable but I'll make that mine and have all of your orders out yet today and get my cable next week. Anyway, you may end up with info/experience before me. Especially if a certain ratty r80gs's electrical system keeps kicking my ass. Intermittent break somewhere in the harness. WhineWhineWhine grumble grumble roger

Thanks very much for the offer, but your whole deal is already on the way. They owe me one other accessory anyway, so they're just going to ship it to me then. I should have it in a week, which probably means we'll all get ours at about the same time.
take care all roger

Cool,
we used to be forced to use those things at Motorola. That and Unix. Neither was bad, but going back and forth between was not even vaguely seamless. Not horrible, just a bunch of extra steps for every trivial data transfer. Thank god that crap is in the past. Can't wait to hear feedback on the system. My cable isn't here yet and I'm heavily customer booked over the weekend, so I think you may all end up ahead of me. good luck roger

Very welcome.
My getting to play has been delayed again. Some guy running a tuning shop over in Houston found out I had sold some and insisted on driving over and buying my last one so he could take care of a critical customer job. Apparently their normal shop wideband had failed and left them in a bind. I didn't want to part with it, but you have to help other shops out. Plus, if they're willing to send a guy on a 5-6 hour round trip they must really need it. Gotta order myself a new one on Monday. later roger

Actually got side tracked myself.
Just got to really look the set up over, what a great value. This should be educational and useful.
