Heck ya, count me in. I'm so jazzed to find out that you want to do it on the 27th instead of the 20th. That was my anniversary and I was not making very many points when I talked to my wife about it. Whew, what a relief! Saturday the 27th sounds great for me. The extra run up hwy 58 is a good call too as long as we get to check out the Penny Bar too this time. I'll probably be able to get my buddy with his R11RS to come along too.

I'm interested.
About how many miles is it from Huntington Beach to Ojai?

amauri,
From Beach blvd figure about 105 miles of freeway and 15 miles of two lane road. For you the quickest way would be 405N to 5N to 126W to 150N to 33N. 126 West is the next exit past Magic Mountain. 150 in in Santa Paula,(fun road). When you get into Ojai turn right at 33 and you will see a 76 station, get gas. Continue on 33 after gas up approx. 3miles, on your left will be the Deer Lodge. I'll be there at 7:30, see you at 8:00 am. It should take you about an hour,(give or take 10min,I drive fast), to get to Magic Mountain and 45 to Ojai.
Another option is to go to Camarillo and hook up with Motoyoyo and ride over with him. From Beach blvd its 405N to 101N about 1hour and 10 min.
Hope to see you the 27th
Jeff

amauri,
glad you may make it. Only bad thing about the rain is the landslides where we are going. Look at it as an adventure. Just don't eat what vetteracer,(Matt), eats. You will regret it.

Would love to join in, but West Valley Cycle is still fixing my stripped clutch spline from 3+ weeks ago. If I have a bike by then, I'll be there.

John,
Hope to see you.

BTW, WE WILL MEET AT 9:00 AM INSTEAD OF 8:00 AM.

We hope this will make it easier for the SoCal late sleepers to take a trip on 'Mr.Toads Wild Ride"

John, this will give you an extra hour to pick up your bike and make the ride. Hope you can make it.

amauri, glad to have you along for the ride. 9:00 in Ojai should give you plenty of time to run up the freeway from Huntington Beach without leaving in the dark. Straight up the 405 to the 101 to 33 would be the simplest way to get there if you're not looking for too much excitement that early in the morning.

Anyone else in the So Cal area that's interested in joining us, try to be at the Deer Lodge between 8:30 and 9:00. Make sure to fill up at the 76 gas station when hwy 33/150 makes a left turn at Maricopa Hwy (hwy 33) in Ojai. The Deer Lodge is just a few miles on up hwy 33 after the gas station.

Jeff and I will probably be there around 8:30. We will plan to be ordering breakfast at 9:00 so try to be early rather than late.

LOL Jeff, I'm just being nice so maybe you won't beat the krap out of me on the ride like you did last time on hwy 58. Somehow, I don't think being nice will grant me any mercy from you though. That's just the way I like my motorcycle rides though...ride 'em like you stole 'em.

Any more takers out there...? Should be fun. It's always nice to see a bunch of BMW knuckleheads parked outside a Harley hangout. Last time we were there a gal with another group at breakfast asked me what type of Harley's we were riding. I said the BMW kind. The Deer Lodge owner laughed and told her, "Ya, the other white meat". Not sure what she meant by that but it seemed appropriate at the time.

Ugh-ha-ha-ha. Actually, I think that was the one that Matt ran in to. That's why he was losing his lunch the rest of the day. It all makes sense now...
