Hugger Question-GS and K.

What do the GS/Adventure and the K12 have covering the rear shock?

I know the GS has a little plastic fender that comes up from the paralever....might this be an "in house" alternative to aftermarket huggers?

Don't know what the K12 has. Looked over the BMW website but couldn't find any satisfactory pictures of the rear end. Anyone got pictures?

The GS has rubber mud flap, a bit larger than the palm of your hand, that extends down from the hard plastic "wheelwell" just in front of the shock. I assume that part is rubber so it can safely contact the swing-arm as it compresses. The plastic fender that attaches to the final drive is there to reduce spraying the vehicles behind you and does nothing to protect your own bike - good place for stickers.

While the mud flap does a good job of protecting the shock, it still doesn't address the rest of the spray which coats everything else (pipe, bags, swing arm, passenger legs, etc).
