Hey Dude;
Need to ride up to Vancouver, Washington and hook up with a few other R1100S riders and ride to spokane with me!!!!! know some cool roads a long the way. :) |
You'll love Glacier. A very nice road in that area is 37 between Libby and Eureka. The east side of Glacier is also nice.

Thanx for the reply, EZ
I would love to hook up with you guys. Do you know how the pavement looks for: -Grand Coulee to Nespelem -Nespelem to Inchelium -Inchelium to Kettle Falls via the Columbia and camping sites near Kettle Falls on the Columbia??? -ShineyPart |
While it might not look like it on the map there are better routes than thru Nespelem. Go east from Grand Coulee on Hwy. 174 then north on Hwy. 21, from Wilbur north to the lake is a hoot. Or go north from Grand Coulee then east on Peter Dan Rd. just past Elmer City to Hwy. 21. Both are better than Nespelem to Hwy. 21 with the Wilbur route my choice.
You will find these roads going east over the mountains can be poorly marked and have some broken pavement in spots. This also applies to Bridge Creek Rd. from Hwy. 21 to Inchelium. Bridge Creek is fun and then you get a ferry ride across the lake. Hwy. 25 is a main road with a couple of campgrounds near Gifford. Do not take the road from Keller on Hwy. 21 to Inchelium. It has a 12 mile dirt section and is not very interesting. If you are pressed for time, Hwy. 21 from Wilbur to Republic then Hwy. 20 to Kettle Falls is quicker, has good pavement and is still enjoyable. Enjoy, RB. |
