Will they fit?

A buddy of mine bought braided brake lines (front and rear) for his 2002 R1150R, but never installed them before selling the bike. Now he wants to sell them hoses. Will the fit my '99 S?

Both bikes are non-abs, but his came with "BMW" brakes while mine are the older Brembo's. I recently lift the bars above the triple clamp and installed the suburban machinery kit. My concern is the somewhat tight front brake hose which I had to re-route outside the RH fork tube. Would this help in that area as well, i.e. are those hoses any longer?

Why don't you grab the lines and check the length ? This can't be that hard ?

Now why didn't I think of that...

Noooo, seriously, he's over 100km away from me and to top that my bike is another 160km away in a winter storage. Of course I can drive back and forth to check it out. I just thought someone on this board with experience/knowledge about both of these bikes in question (maybe having them side by side in the garage) had the answer readily available.

Anyways, thanks for you thought. I'm still hoping someone would share the knowledge, which I'm sure is there...

p.s. The bike will be back on the street this coming weekend, after 6 long months... yum yum.

!00 K's is just one hour drive. I'd do it if there is no cost or big discount in price. But then in Australia I drive 100 k to have a hamberger

or he could send them to you to check out and if they are right, send them back...you all do have some form of postal service, aint ya?

you should be able to tell immediately whether they will work or not. had bought a set of lines from a rider out in the midwest and when they showed up, they defintely would not work as the banjo fittings were not correct. length was the easy part. even if they were a tad long i would have kept them, but the fitting didnt allow for proper mounting.
