Got my BCR dynoed today!
Had my bike dynoed today its '03 single spark plug BCR. Last week I installed a Rhinewest chip, K&N filter and Remus race exhaust. The bike put out 92.1 HP and 68.4 ftlbs of tq. Was just curious if some of the members could post some of there numbers so I can compare to mine.
Thanx in Advance Scott

I installed my ARROW exhuast on my 2003 BCR just before my 6000 mile service. Nothing else had been done at that time.
Results: Dynorun Stock: Max Power = 88.6 Max Torque = 69.0 Dynorun ARROW: Max Power = 90.9 Max Torque = 69.9 Since this time I only added a K&N filter and about another 7000 miles. Power might be a bit higher now that everything seems to have seated in and the motor isn't quite so tight. Just can't seem to keep up with those RED S's.

Havent re-dynoed since last year. But with a Z-Technik exhaust, BBPower chip, SJFilter and Boxer Design Intake I produced 94.2hp and 71 lbs of torque.
However our Boxer Cup Race bike with Laser Race Exhaust, stock intake & filter and BMW provided Motronic produced 94.8hp and 71.8 lbs of torque

Greeings,
Good numbers #'s HP wise, but what does the torque curve read? Torque is important too. Remember, the readings are relative to the dyno that you are on. In doing a comparison you can't compare what was done on your dyno to someone's #'s done on a different dyno 100 miles away. Within a certain small percentage factor all dynos are not equal in what they report. 92 on one dyno might indicate 89.8 on another. The best use for a dyno is doing a baseline and then doing another run with the mod for comparison. It is also important to know that the torque reading and curve is just as important as the hp reading. An exhaust gas analysis giving you a reading of the air/fuel mixture is essential for evaluating the chip/intake and exhaust mods. A dyno chart should include HP/Torque curves with the related air/fuel mixture.

yeah i would be much more interested in the actual curves, not peak numbers. no matter what the mods, there is always an improvement somewhere, but where is what is important. post the graphs...

It has about 10HP worth of carbon fibre, but other than that it's stock.

Respectable #'S JAS
Greetings JAS,
Good numbers! I have asked about Bling-Bling sensors for our DynoJet and they are not yet in development.

It only did so well because the dyno run was on a downhill stretch.

and the comparo..
the usual disclaimer, YMMV, the fourth bike was done on an entirely different dyno, hell on different gas and in a different country (close enough to be one)...the comparison gives credit to the power and torque of his machine, it only further substantiates my belief that the dyno i have used reports low numbers. that aside...

what really jumps out at me is the top end. the torque hits a nice peak and maintains it. the power curve is very similar up top to the others. although it has some different characteristics down low, not bad mind you. the fact that there are some similar spots, like the power dip just after 6500 RPMs, suggests that is in the R1100S's nature, i guess.
anyone else have insight to share? you are running a less-common setup but with great results...makes me want to try out rhinewest's chip. they have that return policy...hmmmmm... did you manage to get a air/fuel mix chart? repoe3

Thanks for posting! No I did not get a fuel/air ratio chart. I have another chart that has 91.4Hp with a speed graph. I have no idea how to read that one. Scott

my pleasure, isiahstites..
as for IS = isiahstites R11S...makes sense to me sorry i wasnt trying to be too creative, but name the damn file ![]() the high speed chart is nothing really...just shows RPMs versus speed or soemthing. and that depends on how the operator sets it up for the dyno. have found there is a broad range of use o the software by different dyno ops. some dont know how to set up charts to display multiple data. repoe3
