I have faith again ( thanks Chuter) longish
Hey guys,
A few weeks ago someone was selling a set of braided lines for our bike in the forums. I responded and mail started to go back and forth as i was the first person to reply and i wanted them. Well it turned out the the seller didnt want to be bothered with a persom from Australia and thought it way too difficult to find a shipping price. His excuse was he wanted to sell them local. In the world we live in now there is no such thing as local. Also the fact that this wasnt stated if the post burned me. I didnt think that anybody that owned an s or a bmw (reads non JAP bike) would do this to another person with the same passion. Well the other day i decided to respond to a post again in this forum from Chuter. He had expressed that he had a tankbag that he wanted to pass on. He didnt put up a forsale, he responded to another post looking for a bag. When the offer was declined i decided to email Brian about his bag. What happened next came as a bit of a shock. After a few emails back and forth. a price was agreed on with shipping ( Brian contacted USPS and got both express post and normal prices) and before i knew it i had the bag at my door. At this point you may be thinking that this is normal for a purchase. What you dont know is that i hadn't payed for it at this point. He had trusted that I (half a world away) would recieve the package and that i would just pay him. As soon as i could make it to the bank ( i work from 6am till 4pm, before they open and after they close) i got an international bank cheque made out and sent to him. If you are still with me now i would just like to say thank you to Brian, aka Chuter for the bag and the for trusting me. My faith in the people selling here is restored. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Boris PS this wasnt the first time i was refused a sale because i was from Oz |
