Repoe was right - misterjung.com is worthless as an HID source
Misterjung is a bum vendor. I sent them an order and received an immediate confirmation email from "Intensity Lighting" and then nothing for three weeks. I sent two emails, no response to the first, in the second I demanded an estimated delivery date to which I received an automated email showing that my order was in the "order received" state - and no more information. This clearly did not answer my question. I sent them a third email demanding the same info to which I received no response. I finally sent an email stating that their miserable customer service compelled me to cancel my order. They are bums. Avoid them.
Repoe, you were right. I'm sorry to have doubted you. I'll not make the same mistake again. |
Paul,
When I read about "Misterjung" in an earlier thread, I Googled that name/term 'n got his/their/the web site - along w/pages of sites wherein folks related similar experiences as yours/repoe3's. . I bagged the Misterjung idea. . Other sites which appealed to me: . http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-6854.cfm . http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/mothidsinkit.html . http://www.xenonfactory.com/ (Philips Based Xenon HID Conversion Kit by Polarion Lighting is the true "plug-and-play" kit and features genuine Philips bulbs and ballasts. What about midnight moose. Only about 20 people have used their stuff here with good.success. No need to reinvent the wheel on principal (though it is more fun, if you dont' get burned) :)

This is a useful UK source.
https://www.nippynormans.com/home.asp My local BMW dealer is starting to fit these for his customers as the suppliers are only 20 miles up the road. Good quality Panasonic and Philips components so looks like this will be on my shopping list for Autumn. Neil |

Unless that's for high and low beam the kit seems a bit over priced. Baldertsons (Peterborough) will supply and fit for less than that price or you can buy direct from their supplier HID-Online for £180 and fit it yourself. It appears to be the exact same kit that they supply and the picture of the S light beam is of Baldersons parts guy, Adrian. In case the dollar pricing throws you HID-Online are in Chester and extremely helpful if you phone them. HTH Adam |
a couple things...
first, sorry you had a bad experience as well. the GUY, not a them, lives just about 45 miles from me believe it or not! johnnyD had a great epxerience, so stuff can happen. had i known i needed to bump up my fuse capacity, it might had turned out better in the end. lessons learned.
as for prices, there is a big diferrence between the plug-n'play kinda setups most of us have versus an entire lamp assembly replacement. most cars and some bikes need, or should get a complete assembly. however, our lens pretty much facilitates the HID setup properly. there is a (more so) growingly difficultly in getting HID kits in the US as a result of the NHTSA investigation. midnight moose is limiting their stock on hand as replacement parts for existing customers, or so their email/site said. hope to order a replacement bulb or two before its dried up. again, sorry about your experience. but you can doubt me on plenty other things. half the people on the board are crazy liberals, so what do i know ;) its a shame people like this can operate and get away with a lot of it. if you do a lookup on the web addy with network solutions, you can see the guys information...gaithersburg, MD is where he lives. i offered to come pay him a visit when i was dealing with him and never got an invite. there is a chance your package may show up soon though, he is like that. repoe3 |
