Ijust put the first serious miles on my new Z6's and I am totaly happy with them. Great feel front and rear, plenty of traction. now we'll see how long they last.

Well lets see, I have had Dunlop 207 and 208 GP's and Sportec's on the bike. The Z6's give nearly the same traction, have more feel and stability plus quicker turn in and require no constant presure on the inside bar once cranked over. The bike just feels way more nimble.

i just got rid of my stock MZ4's for the Pilot Sports...Pilots feel much much stickier and have made for much quicker handling...i'm very happy with them...did you ever consider the Pilot Sports (not that theres anything wrong with the MZ6)?

The MEZ4/6 and Pilot Sports compete in different classes. Anyone who is cross-shopping those two tires is a confused puppy.
![]() I've got the Pilot Sports on the S and on KK's CS, and find them to be sticky enough but don't like the profile. They never feel truly "planted" like BT010's do.

New Tires are like a new girl friend they seem to do everything so much better then the last one you wore out and you'll put up with any annoyance because the relationship is new. So Sman the Z6 a sport touring tire seems to out handle the premium old ladies 208GP and Sportec's? Dose the new girl like to get wet? Report back when shes older a little more ragged on the edges and shes a little flatter.
and JAS BT10's are like Rachel Welch...........they age very well

I agree with JAS regarding Pilot Sports, and won't try them again. I was hoping they'd last longer than Sportecs or 208s, but not by much, if at all.
On a K1200RS I hated MEZ4s, and Pilot Roads totally lost their mojo after 600 miles or so. Right now have Diablos sitting around, begging for their chance...

I've had both Pilot Sports and Sportecs on the S and aprilias. I like the Sportecs for their dry and wet weather grip, and they have been comparable to the P sports (for me) when leaned over. The biggest issue has been longevity, or lack thereof with the Sportecs. I didn't like the longish warmup time I percieved with the P sports. Seemed to slide more. The Diablos may be the happy medium. Anyone have a comparo with the Sportecs and Diablos?
Also, lets be a little more specific. Are we talking Diablos, or Diablo Corsas?

Personally I'm talking about Diablos for the S and Corsas for the new track bike.

JAS, I had a very limited and frightening experience with the corsas, riding my tuonoR back from the dealer in Harrisburg. New bike, new supersport tires, passing showers...sheesh. Swapped em for Sportecs as soon as I got home.
Been waiting to mount them on the mille for a trackday.

Regular Diablos here. 1000 miles no sign of wear. The 010 showed significant wear after the same miles. They are a bit more expensive than the 010. If the rear lasts 5-6K I will be sold. The 010 though great tires won't last more than 4K.
Funny thing, they say made in germany on the side not made in italy.

Diablos and Sportec's are the same tire with different tread pattern and slightly different compounding. Thats why it say's made in Germany. The most I have ever gotten out of a set of tires is 2200mi. I hope the Z6's do better.Im going to Sears piont for the races this weekend, a trip of about 800mi so we will see.

The street Diablos are not the same as the Sportec's maybe the same as the Corsa's because I got 5k out of the Diablo's and half that on the Sportec's ......I decided to go back to the Diablos rather then try the BT12ss and have put another 1k with no wear showing yet................

Pirelli owns Metzeler...both Diablos and Sportec have the same construction and are made in the same factory in Germany but I 'm being told the they have a different profile. I'm leaning towards the regular Diablos to replace the nasty nasty MEZ3s that came stock on the Falco.

Has anyone actually seen the new Michelin Power which replaces the Pilot SPort? It's supposed to be totally ti ts but I'm assuming that it'll be superexpensive.
