there's a guy here, Phactory, sells 'em. Do a search for it or just e-mail him, to see if he has any yet. I think 25-35 bucks.

What aussie guy?

I have the Wunderlich's on my bike and IMHO it was the worst $ i have spent on a part for my S. I was not happy with the overall shape - left side is slightly different than the right and there were great globs of silicone (holds the screen to the CF outers) on the screen material.

Way over priced for that quality. I think that screens that fit behind the fairing openings look much, much better.

I, however still have them on my bike for the protection they gine the cooler.

Cheers

Rider, I purchased mine from Ebay Germany, paid 10 Euros + 3 Euros shipping. Screen arrived in 5 days. Great purchasing experience.

I had a similar experience buying from Glasgow, Scotland. Why does the mail run faster from Europe than the west coast to Iowa?

Oh, right... Scotland's not in Europe. Sorry all you Scottish members.

I ahve the same screen from PhactoryPhil on my S. Looks really sharp with the carbon front end on it.

$125 for the wundercrap is crazy. Some German SOB is kicked back in his leather recliner laughing at the stupid prices some people pay for these accessories. I feel some of that **** is overpriced 150%.

Wink Oil cooler screens

Lads ...

I am that Aussie guy ....

... "It" (the large marble sized rock through the cooler incident) happened just after my replika had it's 1000 k (600 mile) service while riding home on the highway at speed!

I got the *****s big time when it happened (boiling green oil coating your bike and tyres, not to mention your jeans is NOT my idea of fun ) and vowed it would never to me happen again.

So I forked out the clams to MotoHansa in Sydney for the Wunderlich screens.

I completely agree with Trevor - an overpriced and ill fitting accessory. I spent hours trying to get an acceptable fit. The CF work on my screens was pretty average too.

Go with the unit Phactory had in for sale, if he still has any. I wish I had of known but I was too early.

BMW should offer a screen like Phactory's as an accessory - not all of us ride on manicured autobahns unfortunately!

Screens

Okay, I have been responding privately to everyone who wants one of these screens. My current inventory of screens is gone, but I am getting some more from Germany. The black ones are NLA so Silver will be the only color. The cost will be $30.00 plus $2.00 shipping. If you are interested in one, drop me a line and I will send it right out to you.

TIA, Phil Rose

Anybody know a safe way to remove little pebbles and other road debris that has already jammed itself into the fins of the oil cooler? Reverse flow direction water blasting? Teeny-tiny toothpicks?

FWIW how to make a radiator screen is covered in the "How to go Racing" article in the latest "Roadracing World & Motorcycle Technology." Cost - about $5 or something like that...

best,
