Hats Off device
this is one of the new rule change proposals for AMA racing. hell i would like to have such a device in my helmets.
Proposal 6 All helmets used by riders in on-track activities would be required to be equipped with a commercially-manufactured emergency helmet removal device such as the Hats Off® device or the Arai helmet removal device.    repoe3

This set up looks a lot like an old 1800's gaget that allowed a man to "tip" his hat for a lady. Actually, the device had the same name and the design looks a lot alike. Are you yanking our chain?

EMTs would still have to have your neck and spine immobilized before using the device, but it would be cheap and effective insurance against doing any more damage.
Wow, why didn't I think of that (Doh!!! smack self up side of head several times... Ooops, now I need that thing!)
