Speedometer sensor location
 

Ok, I am suddenly interested in speedometer calibration. Some of you will recall why. Anyway, I am interested in the location of the sensor. My hope is that it is on the rear wheel or the drivetrain. I did a search on the board and came up dry.

Also, how much effort is involved at pulling the gauges to get access to them? It seems that you can adjust the speedometer to read correctly...

I recall someone posting here a way to get the gauge to read correctly. It involves changing a connection on the speedo circuit board - is what I remember. Try searching a bit more, it should be here.

Stempy reconfigured the jumpers on the back of the speedo to change the signal but it also affects the odo readings. Stempy also had new face plates made to change the color. I was thinking that having new face plates made with correctly spaced marking might be the way to go. Winter project time.

Yup. I found it. He gives he jumper settings that he discovered also. I could use a bit of advice about how to get at the gauges with the minimum of effort (I am a newbie wrench).
