Slimey Crud

Anybody going to the Slimey Crud Motorcycle Gang's semiannual cafe race run?

http://www.anycities.com/user/crudpics/

I don't know if my S will be all the way back together by then, so if you see a Streetfightered S with Utah tags, thats me.

Anton

I plan to ride down. I am not sure if I will take my "S" or my GB500. My experience at past rides is that many interesting vintage bikes are ridden to the event.

The weather looks like it will be a bit on the cool side wthe sun out. So it should be a good turn out. Dave your right, the ride draws an interesting collection of bikes.

I'll be there on my black "S". I am riding down on Saturday and staying with a friend in Madison. I will be with a rider on a K75 with an R100RS Fairing and a rider on a ZX-11.

The Slimey Crud event begins in Pine Bluff which is just a few miles west of Madison on County S at 10:00 AM Sunday. Pine Bluff is just a cross roads so you can't miss the bike gathering. The rendezvous is in Leland at 1:00 PM. Leland is west of Sauk City on County C just off on County PF. Slimey Crud discourages a group ride to Leland. Rather they prefer that small groups make their way toward the rendezvous point on routes they choose. It is a great gathering were in the past I have seen interesting Bultacos, Vincents, Triumphs, Ducatis, Moto Guzi's, BSA's, Hondas, BMW's, Harley's, Indians, etc.

Hey Dave, what about KAWASAKIS? Oh, thats right, you said interesting...

I may have some folks going, I'll be on a green 78 KZ1000. In the past we've hooked up at the Brat Stop so if its too cold for some they can go back to Chicago. I'll know more next week.

Woo Hoo, just got the S running in street in streetfighter form, should be there unless something big happens. Mines the bike that looks like it hit a deer.

The turnout to the event and the weather were great. I met Anton and saw the results of his encounter with the deer. I also met Merrimac. There were 4 or 5 more R1100S's at the event but I didn't meet the owners.

Peter Egan from Cycle World was there on his new RT. He changes bikes frequently. My friend in Tucson bought his Ducati ST2 last fall.

The next Crud ride is the first weekend in May. Hope to see you many of you there.
