				Bike problem

Hi My bike died twice this week while I stop at red light. I stopped and it just died. Both time, I started up again with no problem and rode home, but wondering what is going on. bike is 23000miles. What should I be looking for? Any ideas? Thanks. Nick. | ||

too low idle speed maybe. Around 1100 rpm is standard I think.

Incresing idle isn't solving the problem.

Some questions: 1. How long had you been riding when it stopped each time? Was the engine hot? 2. What were you doing when it stopped? Just sitting there? Blipping the throttle? Letting the clutch out and giving it throttle to start moving? What? Tell us more.... 3. When it stopped, were the instrument lights still on, or was the bike totally dead? 4. Precisely what did you do to start it again? Just press the starter? Turn the key to off, then to run again, and then press the starter? Details will help the techies here help you.
