Shannon's posts made this board fun to read. He's still missed.

Yea, I still look back on my small portion of the cowl delivery (in Florida) as a great memory and a suitable memorial to a fellow rider. I can only hope that someone feels inspired to do something similar for me.

Itchy - I have the stickers on the sides of the tupperware. I'll have to get a pic up here. When I got the bike I took off the big S on the sides which left a curved indentation where the top of the "S" curved around. Perfect spot for the SN sticker.

Well, I still "have" it. Sadly, when I do get on one of the "big bikes" it's usually the Buell. Most of my riding is zipping around town on the Vespa. I have logged a number of miles on the C3 at Road Atlanta and Barber a little tho.

My life has been eaten by this awful activity again:

I've got an ignition glitch on the S that needs fixin' - I'm pretty sure it's in the switch. You can turn it full lock to the left with NO key and everything lights up and you can start it. (any thief that can get away riding in circles is welcome to give it a shot!!)

Once I get that done, I'll probably take a bath on it. It needs a good home and I'm not riding as in days of yore.

I figure this thread was as good a place as any to announce, in honor of my dear departed friend Shannon, that IíM BACK, BISHES!

My Ď99 R1100S blew up in 2009, and itís been a sad chain of motos since then: a track only ZX6R, a Yamaha FZ1 that I put 65k miles on and more recently, a 2004 Ducati Multistrada that I owned for exactly a year and put 6-7000 miles on, before it was stolen two weeks ago. The Duc reminded me a lot of my beloved Donkey, deep red paint, a quirky twin that didnít make much power, but still had a satisfying, grunty, low end and sweet handling... despondent, I started searching for a replacement this past week and found this well-ridden 99 SA for a song. I vacillated between it and a nearly identical replacement for the MTS before giving in and getting the donkey, which remains the best fitting motorcycle my 6í8Ē frame has ever ridden. Iím beyond stoked, itís good to be back!

Welcome back Lance! Congrats on the bike acquisition... and more importantly remembering your log in data, at your age....

I couldn't sleep last night and read up a little history on Shannon as he was here and
gone before I ever joined this forum. Seems like quite a character and very well liked.

I laughed my ass off after reading post 35, written by another great character who has passed.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/1812207-post35.html

After reading a lot of this history I kinda feel like I missed out.

And BTW, what was the "kit" that shall not be mentioned on the board? Was it the signed
cowl? Why did the board have a hard on for said "kit" to not be mentioned?
