So Cali Ride - April 30th

Hey all. With less then a week untill I get back to California, I guess its time (past actually) to get alittle ride together.
Dont know what the plans are for everyone, but that weekend will probably be best for me.
Id like to see all those that have been out with me before. Jeff, Brad, Scott, Scott, John, etc. And maybe even people like Rapid that never made it.
Open to route suggestions, So Cali, or Mid Cali outa Jeffs, anything is good for me. Just want to ride those Cali roads again, Mississippi and MaryLand dont compare!

Leaving this Thursday afternoon on my 2800 mile Coast-Coast trip. Hope to arrive Saturday afternoon in Santa Monica. Anyone in the area wanna meet up for lunch/early dinner(?) let me know.
Matt

Count me in Matt. Can't wait to see you on a real bike that doesn't have to be jump started.

Once I get there, I will be there or Vegas (or riding) for a few years. No more of this east coast crap
Jeff, that will be a new one.. Who am I gonna have to follow and learn what an S can do?
Scott, If only you saw the fun I had with the /6.. Thank goodness for the kickstart. BTW, that was the only time my K ever acted up wiht the battery...
Once I am off for the day and have the time I will try to map a few things out.

Harold and Pat,
I'ld love to ride with you guys.
Lets set something up in your area and I'll bring some friends.

Wildgift,
don't worry about the pace of the ride. Its nothing that you have to worry about unless you're riding a vespa.

Good memory Pat!!!

Jeff, each weekend brings us closer to "normal life" again... Whatever that is...

Would like to ride with the "lower CA" group, but this ride will not be the one...

Welcome home (almost), Matt. I think I can do the 30th too, but after 2800 miles, you might be looking for some time off.

Scott,
I hope hwy 33 opens on that day.
Do you know when 150 will open.
If you want we could do a Santa Barbara county route.
SB- Gilbraltar rd- E. camino Cello,(ridge route)-paradise rd-154-246-buelton-Santa Rosa rd-hwy1-Jalama rd- Jalama Beach,(lunch)-Jalama rd-hwy1-hwy246-Purisima rd-Rucker rd-Harris grade-135-San Antonio Creek Rd-Hwy 1-San Antonio rd VFBase-Lompoc Casmalia rd-Black rd-from there we can hook it to Betteravia rd to foxen cyn rd back to SB or head to Suey creek rd -166-Tepusquet rd-Foxen canyon rd.
Just a thought.

Jeff, hwy150 will be closed for several more months. Rumors are that hwy33 will open at the end of this month, but no guarantee of that and the official word won't be out until a couple days before it opens, whenever that is. The route you mentioned is an absolute blast. I haven't done those roads in a very long time. The great thing about that route is it's very technical and the top speeds would be much lower than usual. Kind of a good thing these days for keeping everyone in line and in tact. Last I heard though Tempesque (great road) was closed. That was several weeks ago but better check.

Scott,
Tepusquet rd is open. I was on it with 3 riders on sunday.
Their is a slight detour of 5 miles just past the Y road split just be fore the dirt river bed crossing,(its now 40 deeper). Other than that everything is open.

R-dog,
Talked to Brad, he is going to try and come,(90%yes), maybe he can do a map.
I'm not set up for it, but everything is there if you look at a good map.
hope you can come.
