OT: I need to replace some gas lines...

...on my 1988 Dodge D100 pickup, 2WD, 318 throttle body injection. Lines coming from the top of the tank are corroded and leaking badly. I have been told by the local Dodge dealer that pre-bent lines are not available and that I would have to buy some 5/16 and 3/16 lengths and bend and connect them my dang seff.

Anyone do something like this recently? Any tips or advice on tools, technique...etc.

Steel braided would be bling!!! but $$$ Buy some sections of straight steel line, and a hand bender/double flare tool from your parts supply store.... Stay away from copper.. although it is easier to bend and work with it is not suitable for fuel line.

PS. also check J.C. Whitney..I got my lines from them when I built a street rod several years ago.... they may have replacement steel fuel lines for that model truck.

Also make sure the new lines are not rubbing the frame, a piece of rubber fuel line split and slipped over the steel line will protect it from wear.
