Need to replace Left Saddlebag - lost in heavy weather (never noticed it leave!) Where's the best, a.k.a. cost effective, place to find a replacement?

Welcome to the board, Saint!
There's a parts forum on this board : http://forums.pelicanparts.com/r1100s-bikes-parts-sale/ Also, a new parts source has begun here: http://www.beemerboneyard.com/ Maybe surf on www.craigslist.org I think one of the BMW owner's clubs has a lot of classifieds, others should know about it. You might have to buy the pair, but you could try to sell the extra one...

Welcome Saint. Another great source for parts:
http://www.ibmwr.org/market/ Look under both the Parts and Accessories sections for Oilheads.

Here's what happened to my buddy Irv's saddlebag after he "fiddled" with it...
He never knew it was gone...until a car pulled up next to him and started feverishly pointing at his bike. ouch. ![]() ![]()

I found the left side is popular for the GS and 1150R guys doing a lowpipe conversion and installing a full size left bag. Makes them a little harder to get ahold of. Good Luck ![]()

Coincidence...'was on ebay the other day.
There were two R1100S bags for sale, left/right, up for bid separately...if my mind isn't going south. . Here's a left bag on ebay for an RT...looks the same as my S left bag - have it right here next to me - 'cept it has the big lid. Ends Jul-29-05 17:25:40 PDT ... is $77 now. 6:40 pm PT Wed. 7/27. . . 'Might hang out to see what you see at: . eBay Motors> Parts & Accessories> Motorcycle Parts> British & European> Luggage & Saddlebags . . Good luck.
