Short paralever/torque arm????
I want to get the shorter paralever.
What are the differences between the Wudo and MAp arms? Has anyone here bought the short BMW arm? I know one exists because they offer it in their performance model. Where can you purchase MAP products in the US? Web page? |

I can speak to this being that I have had both the MAP and the WUDO shorter paralevers on my bike. Both Paralever arms are equal in lenth and weight more or less. I have moved to the WUDO from the MAP only because the styling of the WUDO lends itself to the bike better. Don't get me wrong, the MAP is very nice and well designed, I'm just picky. I have added the (very beutiful) rearsets from WUDO as well and the desighn is identical. Both arms add 1 and a half inches to the height of the bike. This is fantastic for performance making the bike much more responsive and easier to manuver at low speeds as well. It would be a problem for shorter riders.
An improved alignment for the drive train is another benefit. The measurment from center hole to center hole is 14 3/8 inches on both arms. You can order direct from MAP at or WUDO at [URL=http://www.wuedo.de/framee.htm]http://www.wuedo.de/framee.htm Hope this helps, Christopher [This message has been edited by Christopher B (edited 11-26-1999).] |
