Front wheel removal
Okay this is going to seem like a dumb question, because it probably is... Can the front wheel be removed with the bike on the centerstand, without the bike pitching forward? In other words, does the center of gravity move to behind the centerstand pivot with the front wheel removed? The front fender had a run in with a brake disk lock and lost. Removal of the fender requires removal of the wheel, as far as I can tell.

Pete,
I've had the same issue. Its a terrible sound! If the centre stand is installed removal of the front wheel requires the assistance of a block of wood or as I use a car jack. |

Pete,
Not sure why they put the pivot point where it is on the "S" as on my R11RT you could remove either wheel and the bike would balance perfectly on the stand and the other wheel. Not the "S" for the front. I have a bike lift that I use to jack the bike up with under the sump. Bob |

Pete,
When you take the front wheel off it is not neccessary to take the front fender off. The only hard part is gettting the calipers to fit between the wheel and the rotor. Put duct tape on your wheel for protection and pry the brake pads back , it is a tight fit. The paint on the wheels come off way to easy so be carefull, have fun! |
