clock got clocked

Went down to see Nate Kern race at Summit Point yesterday and on the way back, after gassing up in Carlisle, PA, the clock was out. It was back lit, but no numbers and no prodding by a pen point on those little black rubber hour and minute nubbins would jump start it. Heading back to Philly on Rt 76, I noticed no heat from my 20 year old Vetter electric vest, either.

Did a search on the PP board and noted that wswartzwel, responding to a similar type of question on the board on 3/15/05, pointed out that the clock and the acc. plug are on the same fuse. My guess is that the old electric vest blew the fuse. I'll have to figure out why - or just dump the vest and get the new one (with sleeves) that I really want. But, I need to find the fuse and see if, indeed, it is blown.

Is the acc. plug/clock fuse in the left side Tupperware? Taking half the bodywork off is a lot more fun than taking all the bodywork off.

BTW, good to see a bunch of the lads out supporting Nate Kern on Sunday. That bike sounds soooo good.

I smell ya. I wanna black tape the tach, too, so that there is just a small wedge open at redline. Or better yet, do what Nate does and not bother with the tach and just let the rev-limiter kick in, like he was doing entering the first corner on the Shendoah Circuit at Summit Point.

You have more pics, dontchya?

You're right, the acc plug and clock are on the same fuse. I went thought this and for the life of me can't recall which side it's on, but once you get one side off, the other is easy.
