we're using some really nice 36mm billet magnesium / aluminum bars out here and the height and angle are adjustable on them unlike the stock ones AND they weigh about a million pounds less. we're getting them for ~300.00 a set if you're interested.

they are killer... used a set the other week at the track and they were superb so i am getting a stet for myself... put the stock weights in 'em if you're getting buzzed or just plug 'em with teflon plugs like i do and they're wonderful.
nice thing is that you can change the angle on them depending on your shoulder width and arm length. i made the angle a bit less than on the standard bars and it made it easier to manhandle the bike in the corners. i also dropped the bars by about 3/4" and i chopped the wind off that was smacking the forhead of my helmet... better all around, but may be too aggressive for some riders. you can always put them at the same angle as stock and just keep them at the same height too. other nice thing is the angle is adjustable from 5-12.5 degrees so you can get just the right angle for your body which makes a really big difference over the long haul. let me know if you want a set, i'm ordering more friday for a couple people here in NY. Do the teflon plugs work well? Where do I get 'em? Do they fill the entire bar?
Thanks. --Rick |
