What digital camera do you bring while riding your R1100S on a trip. Mine is a Canon Rebel. It fits pretty good in my system case, if you pack it right.

I typically take my two year old Canon Coolpix 2200. I think it maxes out at 1600x1200 which is good enuf fur da web.

I sacrifice a whole city bag for my Canon dSLR/lenses. I'm a nut.

I found the Digital Photography Review website to be a terrific resource in researching the choices available. Go to the full review, then click on "conclusion" for the Reader's Digest summary of pros, cons, and comments. I got the Panasonic DMC-FZ5 (around $340-350 delivered) is probably 2/3rds the size of an SLR and very light, so it doesn't hog too much space in my tankbag. I'm hoping to get my brother's Canon 10D soon for serious outings.

If I go for a "ride trip" I bring a Coolpix2100 with me, if I go for a "photo trip", I fill up the left bag with the reflex and his accessories (and the passenger seat with the tripod).

I bring my now ancient Olympus 3030Z. If I were to replace it, I'd use one of the Canon A-x sureshot series. Small decent pictures and takes 8-10 second videos too.
I won't take my wife's Canon 20D--too expensive to see sliding across the pavement. |

I've now got the Cannon Digital Rebel like Moki has but I haven't used it on the bike a lot yet. I used to use a Pentax WR90 water resistant point and shoot and hang it around my neck. One trip out west I took 18 rolls of film .. there is so much scenery out there that stopping all the time was too difficult so it was shoot on the fly.

I always carry a Canon G3 in my tankbag. Have used a Canon S2-IS before and the extra zoom length is very handy, as is the image stabiliser.
Cheers Trevor

Minolta DiMage Xt - smaller than a pack of butts (fags to you euros) and shoots a good enough pic for what I need.
