I just installed my Laser slip-on muffler to match up with the Laser cat replacement pipe I installed last year. Relatively easy installation; only part that was a "small pain" was getting the rubber mounts to slide onto the hooks. But once one, very solid.
How many people with the Laser muffler have removed the db-killer plugs from the muffler? Any sound and performance thoughts?? Weight savings is: Stock cat pipe: 12 lbs Laser cat replacement: 4 lbs Stock muffler: 14.5 lbs Laser muffler: 10 lbs. (+/- .5 lbs; bathroom scale variation!) Again, great service (8 days to Oregon, USA), great price $477 US dollars including shipping, and great product quality if the cat replacment pipe is any indication. I've never called Laser, but here's the email I've used several times if you're interested. Gertjan de Jongh Gertjan@laser-jama.nl |

Steve, I would run with the dB killers in for a while and see what you think. I think all mufflers become a little less effective over time and especially over the first few thousand miles. I fitted a Laser system and have left the dB killers in. I can see people looking around when they hear coming so don't think I'll be taking mine out! I already throttle back when I see the police around, just in case.
