Bad news a jet airliner takes off from JFK and crashed in NYC

I was working in Long Beach...five miles away from where 587 went down in Rockaway, Queens. Saw the smoke rising...heard the sirens...terrible feeling.

My feelings go out to those of you on the East Coast. While these events affect everyone, we here in CA seem "removed' from them because of the distance. If the weather permits, go for a long ride and enjoy one of the pleasures that make life worth living!!!
