I have some photos of the R1200S from the show last night, but I won't steal Rob's thunder. Besides, they're not very good anyway. I was in Snapshot mode vs. photographer mode.

Cool Pics, Rob. Not quite so much fanfare (or interest apparently) here in DC.

Your basic 3/4 shot.

Engine Detail

Front Wheel Detail

3/4 Rear End Shot

Suspension Detail

I am smiling...now take the picture already

Me 'n' N8!

I have high-res versions of these pics as well. PM me if interested and I'll send a link.

Cheers,

3 things

1. Looks very nice, can't wait to ride one in the spring

2. The ride height on the ohilins seemed to be all the way adjusted ( leaving little left)

3.The yellow looks kinda washed out/ faded...may just the lighting in the hall

The Dutch show was quite fun but I was messing around with my super duper Minolta cam, forgot how to switch on the flash. I was looking for one of those little flash buttons? You know what I mean. By the time the show was over I figured it out. Only had to pull up the flash from the camera's body.

Anyway, it was so crowded I couldn't take any decent pictures, always loads of people on it and near it. I have to say though that I didn't like the black bike as much as I thought I would, I really believe the old S looks better in black. This bike is much better lined, more Ducati like so I go for a special 2-tone paint job, titan rear and red front.

I hear ya. The show had only been open about an hour when I got there. A lot of the secondary vendors hadn't even set up yet. Not even the cheesecake models had shown up. Hooter's had some skanky looking women, but not even worth the pixels. They were giving away some custom chopper that had a longer wheelbase than my Ford Explorer.

Hizzoner, the (former) mayor has got a few probation violations to deal with right now, I guess. I don't pay any attention to DC politics, because well, it's politics and it's DC -- 2 things that should be ignored at every opportunity.

It wasn't as washed out in person. More of a DMPY (Dehydrated Monkey P*ss Yellow) Probably a little bit of lighting and camera. I just posted straight JPEG conversions of the RAW pictures. I didn't do any post-procesing, color-correcting, etc.

Thanks Shoemak! I had a good time. Hopefully your schedule permits you to come to the track this season. I am getting pretty excited about the R12S and what we can do with it. Take care and have a safe riding season!

O,The earliness explains the quietness.
Hooters is not what it use to be. I don`t what`s going on with them. BTW, Your pics are great, I wasn`t that crazy about the new S, but, the more I see it, the more I like it.
Regards,
Lane
