SOT - Geister Fahrer in LA

I've heard of this phenomena on the autobahn but never here:
A motorcyclist was killed in a fiery accident early today when he hit a car on the Riverside (91) Freeway, just east of Lakeview Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident was reported shortly before 6 a.m. on the westbound lanes of the freeway, CHP officer Denise Quesada said.
She said the motorcycle may have gotten on the freeway going the wrong way.
The motorcycle hit a car, caught fire and the driver was thrown onto the top of a big-rig truck.
The accident resulted in the closing of three lanes on the right side of the westbound freeway. Only one lane of the freeway and the FasTrak lanes remained open. The closure is expected to continue through the morning rush hour. Motorists are advised to take the Eastern (241) Toll Road.

nope, but he certainly could have gotten on going the wrong way, except he would have used the car as a ramp to jump over the truck, so it's probably not him.

...but i'm just guessin' here.
