Not that I know of. The early Two Brothers units don't even have the cross bar needed to support the pipe like the CAT originally has. You need to jury-rig another support up under the seat to keep from breaking the welds at the pipe to muffler joint.

Perhaps one of the other forum members knows more?

there are a number of posts on this subject. For instance, Luca, I know has some pictures of his bike where he put bolts through the frame tabs that formerly supported the cat converter and keep the centerstand off of the paralever. I did the same thing about 20K mile ago & it's still working. Moybin's suggestion is a good one...make sure that the top of the pipe is stabilized...there is a place under the seat to do this...search t the posts for pics & discussion.

BMW Roundel Support

Greetings,

Here is the support, thanks to a board member:

The LASER BC-I has an optional center stand stop should you wish to keep your center stand.

I have a Zach's cat eliminator. All stainless, made in Germany with cross supports. Also have a little plastic thingy attaches to the centerstand, which acts as a bump stop. I bought the both used, but new in the box from a guy in MA advertised on the BMWMOA website. Nice quality piece. Has port for O2 sensor. Zach's had a german site, can't seem to find it now though. The centerstand bump stop I think can also ne had from Wunderlich.

The Remus has a built in centrestand stop.

Works really well and is easier to fit as it comes in two parts.

I have Robert Fosters' sport cat elim. What I think is better about his is the O2 sensor is placed where is samples both cylinders, downstream of the Y.

But, Roberto, I'd like to get one or two more support brackets for under the seat, like the one shown above. Already broke 2.

(added) And, Robert, by the way, what is the status of the SuperSystem for our 1100s's?

thanks

Thanks for all the help, I am now trying to decide if I should go with just the eliminator or belly up and go with the full staintune system.

Greetings,

I really wish I knew~!

Politics, stainless supplies in high demand and China driving the cost up....

Tooling and we have NOT had a quiet winter... we are busy.... I hope to have it in the spring.

MOST of all!!!

I am a little concerned about the top mount on the BC-I system as shown above.

If this item is breaking please let me know with photos so I can analyze this issue and refer it to LASER R&D. This possibly could not be noticed easily as it is "UNDER THE BIKE". Please have a look!

TIA!

IMHO, you should also get the cans (Laser, Remus, choose your poison) if you can afford them. Yeah, I know that the stock ones do fine, but ooohhhh the sounds the S makes with these wonderful exhaust systems. I have a Laser system w/chip on mine and it really sounds good. Even my Hardley riding buddies have complimented me on how the S purrs.

Now, if you want to keep the center stand with many of these aftermarket systems, including the Laser, you need a stop for the center stand. Wunderlich sells one for $49.00 that is made specifically for that. Other systems may include it, but I am not aware of a specific brand.

Also, if you don't want to spend top $, keep an eye on this board and maybe Ebay. I've seen some great deals here on barely used systems for much less than new.

Good Luck!

boxercup, thanks for the update on the system.

I sent a couple of pics in an email, but I would be happy to send the actual parts to you. Let me know.
