reschedule socal nunley ride?

907 am-back home
well, john lyon and I each left our houses in bright sunshine, and rode right into rain at the rockstore. we tried running east on mullholland to replicate last years route, but it never got any better, so we scrubbed the mission and returned home-where, unbelieveably, 4 miles from the rock store, it is streaming sunshine!! raining likeheck over in the mountains, sunny here at home. anyone want to try next saturday?

post here in this thread if you can make it next saturday, feb. 25

rapid, you actually gonna come down off the mountain?

meet & beginning route
ok here is how we started last year-in the rain-we meet at the chevron station on Kanaan Dume road/exit, just south of the 101 at 8 am. quick coffee stop at the rock store, east on mulholland to malibu canyon, south on malibu canyon to piuma, up piuma to schuren road, up over to stunt/saddlepeak, break for the view at the top o the world there, over saddlepeak to south on tuna canyon, the one way stretch down to pch. breakfast at paradise cove, same as last year, then-after eats, its latigo/mullholland/sycamore down to neptunes net for the next break-im open to anywhere else.

I'm in, but there's an off-chance I'll be a little late (brief Sat morning sales meeting). If so, I'll go backwards from the lunch stop until I see you guys.

hey vette~
i went last year, did breakfast at the beach, lots of roads, and signed off when they arrived at neptune's net. it was around lunchtime, so you could get to lancaster by 2...maybe 2:30 at the latest.

love to see ya show up!
been a while.

On that note, I plan on attending. But as some of you know, my schedule can be turned around over night... So hope for the best!
Going to go wash the girl right now (the bike, not the fiance)

Shes to good for you Matt even if you did know her way back when.

jeez thanx rapid. my new accessory just got a WHOLE LOT more expensive than before your recent post response.
it's costing me dinner tonight at the crab shack. you're paying half.
jeez, thanx.

so now that i'm beat and bloody, what girl are you talking about?
i just put on the passenger pegs for the first time since buying the bike.
man those things get in the way, eh?

ps: she says your an absolute complete woos, girlie and limp-wrister if you don't show up (for the ride....you're not invited to the dinner).

rat bastid.

so who else is going?
pvr?
motoyoyo?
tony?
is ray still broken?
drag jeff's butt down there.
ps: i hear there is some debris on PCH. a bunch of red carbon fiber, apparently.

and are we going to see the telephone pole that the Gismondo-mobile cleaned out on Decker Cyn? i think it's now officially listed as a Kodak Picture Spot.

two-up?...kitchen pass?

....oh Brad, it's just like you to assume I was talking about you...the new accessory must really have you rattled bro...
I was actually commenting on VetteBoy and how he didn't show up for a ride last time up here in 9 Canyonsland.
He made his "announcement" not long after...

Pillion pegs? where's the video set up going to go?, er, maybe you're using it "off-road" now...

I actually got a kitchen pass for Saturday but don't know if I'll make it...8am comes pretty early for me on a Saturday morning...maybe if I can stay out of the Big Bottle on Friday...

My one cover fell apart. Need to get another. I have no choice. I live on second level, cant make it to my room with bike.
4-5 months I will have shelter for her. Also get my K bike back so I can do the engine swap. I miss the K

P.S. Brad, can we have a small Ohlins Training Session? Still havent done any real setup...

sure matt. be glad to.

the easiest way to do that is to ride with ya and watch your bike, then spin knobs and turn clickers based on observation and what kind of ride you're looking for.

before we do that, you need to know where your suspension is set.
to find out your current "base line":
turn every clicker and knob all the way IN. count the clicks or knob rotations on each adjustment until they bottom out.

write those numbers down, then turn all the knobs back out where they were originally.

oh yea, the very first click on the way out...they call that one "zero".

iz a svedish ting, ya?

S1S, I got your message and I'm trying not to jinx my day off with overtime. My plan is to be there but I still haven't overcome the novelty of the new wheels and tires on the 'other' machine, but I'm willing to take some heat for that.
