Cool Laguna Seca Track day

Thanks for your help guys, about ease of changing shocks or exhaust. I took the BCR after putting stock (quite) exhaust on. It was a wise move as I still scrapped the heads even with the better and higher suspension. Likely you can go on the track with Catalytic deleted but no guarantee's. They actually have an active sound check building. Three violations and you are done for the day.
The track day was run by Red Shift and included great instruction for us C group. I might have been the only person in the group that had done a day before. ( BMW day at Buttonwillow), I definetly was the only BMW. can you say GSXR 1000, Ducati. Six people fell off including a $ 30k Ducati C group, but zero ambulance rides that I saw. ( No one had fallen on the BMW day.) If you haven't done it, do. They are ready to hold your hand all the way thru, even the Hayabusa rider who kept on asking what gear to be in, (his 1st gear is good to what 95) ingmar

Great pic's.
.
What did you think of that near stop and left hand lean over into the corkscrew. Kinda blind faith that the track will be there since its a blind corner. Great 3 story drop. (that was my fav part of the track)

Awesome pics! Looks like you had a great time. How fast were you going in the first pic?

I wonder if these trackside rocks were part of the motogp upgrades.

pdonnell- that turn was fine, just never felt i got corkscrew right, each time i was somewhere just a little different, practice, practice.

ExarKunOne - that first picture likely 110 and climbing I didn't uncover the speedo until the last session. i was able to outpull the other novices from the slow 90 degree turn. Wide open till under the bridge over the rise and just after you see the double apex corner ahead.

In the third session I was working with an instructor, i knew i was doing really well staying on his tail. right up to when were doing 80ish and he checks his mirror and does a wheelie pulling away for 100 ft. did i mention they were on 1000's and know how to ride.

ExarKunone - lots of construction the instructors had to check that their own landmarks were still there. Smooth track, great infield, nice surrounding,

If I remember, the sound shack is between turns 5 and 6. But they also have mobile equipment that they travel with around the track. I'll tell ya, it's a sad sight being at that track with the BMW car club and watching some of these guys looking through the garbage for soda cans to punch small holes in and then duct tape to the exhaust pipes.

tm1100s is right about the sound shack, 92 decibels is limit. No roaming sound checks for my particular day. The way i understood the sound check, it helps to run solo and far side away from it. also if flagged for it you can twice go back and "modify" before third time kicked off for the day.

tm1100s for your bimmer day were they only digging in the trash for Heinikin cans?

I got the pictures and also just got my video today. Local rider (pismo pd) followed me for a session (20 min.) and i was able to see alot. What i thought was me gently moving around on bike was shown to be greatly disturbing the bike. Also my line was good but not as good as i thought. Got 2 1/2 hours of track time including the on track instruction, good value for the money. everyone come out- march 20th for Buttonwillow,

A Big Thank YOu to Steve Carlton for the Avatar
