yo acid~

i ran my braking rotors and pads last weekend for the first time.
it was WAY better than the bucking/bouncing of the old warped rotors. damn thing even stops now too!

the pull on the lever is just a tad longer...about 25% more from free wheel to full squeeze. that seems to have given me a little more precision and feel. you can be picky about it.
they took about 60 miles of harassment to get bedded in, and after that they worked flawlessly.

i noticed last night when rolling the bike into the garage.....nothing drags, no noise, the wheels roll nice and freely when you're pushing it. the old rotors would drag and squeal when the bike was pushed. i'm guessing it was the warping.

so far...great brakes, consistent and precise stopping power. i went through two sets of BMW OEM front rotors, both lasting about 3500 clicks before they warped. i don't think these are gonna do that.
screw galfer and their "bait and switch" tactics. these braking rotors and pads work just fine, thank you! plus you can actually BUY them, unlike the other guys....

....brad
ps: disclaimer- i've known Chris Carter (Motion Pro/Braking owner) since we both rode enduros/Six Day stuff for Yamaha many thousands of moons ago. And he DID buy lunch the other day. Even still, if the rotors were crap...i'd tell 'ya. i think you're really gonna like them.

Brad:

Braking is an Italian company.

<http://www.braking.it>

I have a set of their rotors on my track wheels [ F/R ] ( not wavy, as wavy were not available at the time ~summer 2000 ). Maybe 12 track days, ~ 600 miles - no problems, look and feel real good.

However, I've got original disks on my street wheels, ~33k miles, no problems, look and feel real good.

I would wonder why the probs. you have described, happen.

jeff

acid, you are correct! motion pro/braking/and other secret stuff all comes from the same place. MP also makes some very nice quality tools.

jeff: as far as warping the stock rotors, i found it to be relatively easy. just use the front brakes way too much, way too hard and get them way too hot. did the trick every time!
in defense of the oem stuff: i've been told i can bring a wrist pin to it's knees, so wearing out/breaking/disfiguring products is something i've had lots of practice doing. used to get paid to wear things out.
these days, especially on good roads, i get carried away. I'm planning on having my attorney sue the crap out of jeff williams, 'cause he "exposed" me to these horrible roads.
you've ridden with him. maybe i'll subpoena you as a witness.

Ok I am looking to order the Braking waveys.
I was looking around here and google and I find conflicting info,
http://www.motorcycleproshop.com/acc/braking/braking.asp shows
Braking Front BW04FID
Braking Rear BW03RID

Acid shows
Front rotors, BW-06FID X2
Rear rotor, BW-0RID

I have a 2001 ABS. I take it the 06 are what I want? Also it looks like a digit is missing on the rear PN posted at the start of this thread. Please give me the info

-Zac-

edit:
http://212.210.7.222/catalogo/bk/catalogo/template.asp?cp=298&id_prod=254&id_modello=1
Shows the 06 too. So I guess that answers my question.
