Maxxis tires

Has anyone tried these on their R11S? Opinions?

Good for practicing sliding.
I'd prefer to keep my old tires and just armor-all them once in a while

Did he say why he was dissatisfied? I run their classic tires on my Road King and prefer them over the Dunlops. Just curious what he didn't like, as the price is right.

No traction, and no longevity. He is a young guy, likes to ride fast, but he also uses his bike for commuting. He is running Michelins now.

Save your armor-all for the seat, stale brake fluid works just as well on tires.

I don't know about tire and traction advice from a guy so struggling with his shocks. But then again, maybe the shocks are OK, and it's those recycled german fanbelts and radiator hoses on the rims that are confusing him. The big Metz should start draining the antifreeze out of those things before throwing them in the Sportec vat.
