R1200S cannisterectomy
Has anybody performed this "surgery" on their R12's. I want to do some suspension tuning, and I see it is right in the middle of any potential front shock adjustability ease.

I saw mine done....pretty simple. The only "trick" is there's a nut that must be got to in order to remove the bracket. It's on the left side behind what looks like a computer thingie that can be pressed out by hand. (It's called the Central Vehicle Electronics Control Unit). The maintenance manual says, "Carefully pry open clips and lift the control unit forward to remove, taking care not to disconnect the plugs." Once you get the tuppeware off and look at it, it should become pretty obvious. HTH.
