The rearends stayed the same. In '04 the 6th gear changed in the tranny because of Daytona. The '03 models were the first and only models that did not have the creature features from the factory. 150 units of each year of the later models were built with the options.

Awesome input -- that really does answer my questions.

I'm sure this will fan the flames of rivalry ...

I like the paint scheme of '05 better. But I like the creature comforts of the '04 better.

Mr. Crunch, the '05 can have the ABS and heated grips, just check to see if it's got it. Heated grips can be added to any of them BUT ABS will cost you to add it if not present.

if you're gonna add heated grips and ABS to an '05 you also need to upgrade the alternator
