Looks like they went with small wheels and 2/3 frame any idea why? How about the weight balance front back and pricing. ingmar

The ones I've seen at Central Coast Mechanics in SLO are as fast as a 250 dirt bike and has 275lbs of torque! It has removable power supply that can be changed in 1min or less.
Full throttle a pack will last 30 min.
With two extra packs you can ride all day on quick charge.

it was the same one advertised in the magic kingdom ride thread. I wish I could commute on one of those things.

I tried IvanTT's not long ago. Holy Crap!!!!!!!!! I'm seriously considering one. I know it seems $$$, but you have to try one to believe it. And like he said, no one will hear you coming. 42 MPH, light, stealth, total blast. Cops thought it was a bicycle. Had to...or else I might have been in trouble.

Nope,
its not the same bike.
The one they have on display has square tubing and,as I remember, a different rear shock angle.
I'll try and post a picture today and find a web site.

---This is from Ivan---

The Bike is in production right now. Base Price with charger and a battery is $5950. Tons of options are available. Better forks, full floating brakes, Power up grades... though the base model will demand your respect as is (think stock GSXR1000 kind of respect)(ask GIXXER Jeff he has seen it first hand)

Burnouts (rolling, smoking), wheelies, massive jumps, all without the neighbors knowing you are even home.

It can swap tires from Real Motocross to Real Road (for Motard) to bicycle tires for Mt.Bike trails

I dunno...the Electricmoto Blade in the link I posted before looks a bit more developed and refined.

Still, I am sure the Electricross kicks like a horse.

I actually like the concept of this one better. It uses a basic honda 50/70 motor for it's light weight and compactness. My son is into mini racing and these little motors can be built to amazing performance levels. Around 17-18 hp is pretty common from built engines. A new twin overhead cam is the latest hot setup for around 22 hp. It can also be made super stealth quiet at much lower but still effective power levels.

The main thing about this bike is that it won't need recharging every 30 minutes and it will probably have more familiar power characteristics. This version happens to be the uber expensive ($11,120) all titanium one that weighs in at 99 lbs. They are coming out with a much more reasonable version for around $3995. Still an expensive toy, but so very cool. And when you run out of driving energy, you would stand a lot better chance of bumming a pint of petrol than you would finding an extention cord out in the boonies.

the videoz of mr. electricross look totally awesome. I LOVE that burnout with no sound but rubber howling in protest.

What a stealth device for all sorts of covert nefarious schemes

Im still digging the electricmoto blade. Maybe I just prefer the tubular frame rather than the box section rail frames. Although I must say that at 99lbs the FX is DAMN light.

Hey nice thread!

Wow that FX is cool... let's put a little nitrous on it. Then it would do some serious screaming out of the corners

Ya on all the battery bikes...
Yes you do need to charge the Batteries when they run down but with 2 of three charging ..... All you do is replace the battery pack. On the DRIFT it only takes seconds a al cordless drill and (two thumb wheel screws and a connector and you pull the battery and pop in the new one - bam!) you are riding again.
The Blade needs to be plugged into the wall. No quick change battery option. Quanya looks like it a way to do it has but not sure of the specs on how quick. ..anyone know?

We are not looking to replace the trail bike market (Yet) - We are investigating new batteries that will need to be used before that is even possible.

This is a race bike for confined areas that do not allow for noise and exhaust fumes (neighborhoods / indoors etc...)
MOtard MX and MT Bike trail use in low power mode.

Just to be clear Electricross is not affiliated with Quanya or Electrimoto - those are heavier slower and way more expensive. and they accelerate with less "bravado" (less smoke too).
The frames on those bikes are steel and not designed with the same amount of "abuse" in mind. ie take a 225 lbs rider and ride off 48" ledges on to flats ....repeatedly

See we don't use no spindlely little racer types to test ... oh no.... I get that honor and those of you that have seen me...

(You had to take the picture at that angle Bingo??? lol)
Know that "svelte" is NOT an accurate description of me.

We have new pricing ($5500 base) and free shipping anywhere in the USA

The local dealer is CCM in SLO (Central Coast Mechanics)
The owner of the Shop (Brad) has one now and rips on the thing (I better go practice)

and yes the bike is a really a race bike in full power mode
AND
we now have a "beginner" switch option that increases the ride time and makes the DRIFT easier to get used to.
The acceleration drops to that of a CRF150 off the line as opposed to a 400 to 500 four stroke (ask bingo or gixxer Jeff if I am exaggerating)

So...... sorry to "butt in"....
Thanks for the dialogue ..

Oh one more thing.
I just let Christian Pfeiffer (BMW Stunt Rider) ride it at Farmers Market in SLO and he loved the thing. Doing some crazy 180 and 270 stoppies! He wanted Street tires so I am putting them on and hopefully he can try it again at Laguna Seca tomorrow. Man can that guy ride the wheels off a bike!!!
Here is a shot of his
