The new ECM controls not only the fuel injection and exhaust systems but also make it possible for the rider to select from three performance settings to match riding conditions, using a three way switch mounted on the right handlebar. Engine mapping will vary for each setting and each map was developed using experience gained building racebike maps for rainy, mixed and dry conditions. Switching from map to map will be instantaneous making it possible for the rider to use different maps for different sections of the racetrack.

Geez. Don't you already have enough to worry about on the track?

its just a flick of the switch, if you can pick a braking point, you can hit a button ;)

i am just impressed to have a such a system right on the surface. bet you didnt know you could get a different wire harness for the 06 R6 that would enable traction control...did ya? it was a factory option from the race catalog. so its been out there, just now, its wide open.

interesting times...
