Nate Kern Track Day- Any interest?

Is anyone interested in attending a track day hosted by Nate Kern @ the recently repaved Roebling Road Raceway ? No dates have been set-but it would be sometime in November. We are trying to gauge people’s interest, so let me know your thoughts. Cost would be $200-$250 depending on the number of attendees and if lunch is provided.

...I'd love to... just a little far for me.
I was supposed to be on the track today, but have instead decided to blow my right knee... doctors app. in about 45 minutes... scope hopefully within a couple of weeks! Riding again in 4 or so...

I'd love to, but I'm in the dog house for my recent trip to North Carolina.

Hell, yes!

$250 is a bit steep for Roebling but I'm interested. Would N8 give us slow ones some pointers?

Peterr 10-02-2006 08:34 AM

It would be a full track day with instruction by Nate.

The higher price tag is to cover Nate's expenses in getting to Roebling I'm sure, plus they just repaved and probably get a few more bucks as a result I bet.

I would like to find out more, especially a firm date & the day's schedule .

I'd love to but don't think I can swing another weekend away especially all the way to GA. May be going to see him in Daytona the weekend of October 20th. Anybody from PA/NJ/MD/DE going?

I have been to Roebling with Ed Bargy school and with US Desmo. The rules are pretty much the same. Go here to read them for US Desmo....I suspect they'll be the same for a N8 and the Pelicans track day. http://www.usdesmo.com/

Nate would like it to be more of a personalized instruction format as opposed to a typical track day, which would mean fewer riders to allow for one-on-one time with Nate, as well as classroom instruction. Nate has extensive experience in instructing with other well-known race school organizations, as well as been a student himself in the prestigious Freddie Spencer Pro School in Las Vegas.

Obviously the ability to spend quality personal time with each participant would limit the number of spaces available, meaning the cost may be a little higher than the typical track day. But the premise is that you would be getting far more out of it, and in addition to the instruction, he would most likely include two up rides around the track, as well. His choice of Roebling was based primarily on the fact that the weather is nice in the off season, as well as being much more reasonably priced for private rentals.

If anyone would have serious interest in something like this, feel free to get in touch with Nate and let him know...:)

Throw in N8

instructing and it's a good deal. Much of the track day instruction I've received has been minimal at best. I get a lecture on going fast (most of which I can quote...teach...hard to do though...heck that's why the fast guys are fast...they can do what they say...but it's gotta get to me) and then off we all go....the students getting dusted by the instructors. Wish I could afford the personal instruction given by Code or Freddy and their guys. If N8 can dial back his own riding joy enough to follow me as I wallow through a corner and then give me a tip that will stick....good deal. Besides I'd like to meet him. :)

Man Id love to, pending household issues!

hey gnag, thanks for the interest. The layout at Roebling is ideal do to it not being technical at all, fresh new pavement (already cured and had some events on it) and lower cost to rent. Bobby, I never figured in my own travel costs as i have never done that for anything in my career. paying my own way is nothing new and I would be further I guess if i was out to make money on my career and aspects, but Im not.

Sitting in this coffee house again in beautiful Munich and just relaxing. Way cool stuff here! ;)

I need to contact Frnak Kinsey as he is the only one supposedly the owner of Roebling trust with a motorcycle day. He is cool and I will try and see what I can do. This is more about the wetaher down there and plan on dooing more in our area as the weather gets better next season. I will also contact a good friend of mine for years as he owns a trackday org. and we can get our own group during his day for a bit cheaper.

Ok talk to youse soon!

N8!

Pssst, Nate. I don't think one person here would object to chipping in for covering your cost(eg gas, hotel, your track fee, etc) for attending this proposed event which is far from "making money" However we will gladly abuse the hell out of you for the time you're there if you'd feel better about it ;)
