I was going to go until I went to the 24 Karrat/Last Chance Rally in May's Landing.

Let's see why:
24 Karrat Rally: $35 each, t-shirt, pin, 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts.
BDB Rally: $70 each, no t-shirt or pin (at least not advertised) plus camp food that everyone says not to eat.

For more than the national rally and having to buy extraneous food, I don't think so. YMMV.

So I guess thats one I can skip next year? I thought about going to that. Hopefully this will be a good time.

Maybe you misread: The 24 Karrat/Last Chance Rally is one NOT to be missed! Hopefully they keep doing it.

guys from my club are parasiting that one as our own. Im not going though. I dont camp with a bunch of old men. It just seems too NAMBLA to me.

Was it the 12-to-a-cabin magilicutty that skeeved you too? Even if you opt out of the cabin, you still pay the full deal too.

I was toying with that idea.....there is also an open house I think Saturday 10/7 at Hermy's in Port Clinton with some cool prizes and stuff. About a 2 hour slab ride for me. We'll see......alot of stuff to do....

Eh whatever I've stayed in a Hostel before and since its the same price sleeping not on the ground is fine with me. Now if you ask me Monday I may change my mind.
I will be cruising down from Upstate NY to my buddy's place in NJ on Thursday night. I will be arriving at some point on Friday afternoon. I will be arriving at some point on Friday afternoon.

In defense of the BDBs, I hear they are locked into the campsite for providing food and if they could change it, they would. FWIW.

HAHA, good attitude! I usually hit the semi-/full-private rooms at the hostels.

HA! I guess generally the top. Although I think these are side by side in looking at the pics of the "resort".

I've only had the Beemer since May and I have only gone to the MOA Rally as far as group things go so I was jonsing to go to an event. This one fit in the schedule so off I go.

Ironically as it turns out a bunch of you are coming up to practically my back yard Lake George which is only about 30 minutes from my place. Next time I suppose.
